meadow turned 3 months old today.. so we decided to get her a little gift. her first chair, it’s called a bumbo and she absolutely loves it.

well, it’s that time of year again… the kids are back in school. for lily, it was her first day of kindergarten and the first time to ride the school bus. she was super excited to get on the bus and be on her way.
i wasn’t exactly sure what to expect lily to do when she saw the bus coming down the street.. but what i got was an “explosion of excitement” – followed by an attempt to tackle me at the knees.
and then the realization hit her, *mommy’s little girl was growing up* and was taking one step closer to becoming independent…
maxine and joe are the very definition of awesomeness. i had the pleasure of shooting their engagement session on monday and i am so incredibly stoked on all their images!!!

joe had an inside scoop that the summer house next to where we were shooting was currently empty… ”say no more joe”, that was enough info for me to sneak onto their back deck to snag this little gem.
the plan was to head down to the beach before sunset to get some beach shoots, but i made a slight detour on the way and couldn’t resist taking some edgier shots in this parking garage. that’s right, a parking garage – bring it!
we did eventually make it to the beach where i captured one of my favorite shots of the day.

lauren’s sister was down from boston last month for a visit. which gave us the perfect opportunity to have a one year portrait session for her lovely daughter, sophia. make sure you also check out the slideshow i put together for more fun photos from our day together. - slideshow -
after our session we headed back to the house for a little birthday celebration with the family… thats lily, krista, and josh helping baby sophia blow out the single candle on top of her birthday cake.
