here’s a little glimpse of what it’s like to have us rockin’ your wedding reception. all photos were taken by either lauren or tim dinofa (that’s us!!) and of course the little “mythical” photographer genius that i believe lives inside of photo booths. (;

Improving Your Photography Business

last night lauren and i hosted a really awesome “GTG” with a few local photographers to discuss ways on improving our business and branding. we covered a lot of useful information and i thought i would share some links on my blog to recap what we had discussed. i also wanted to thank everyone who came out to our house. – thank you, stephanie sherwood – kim moore – ray hennessy – pat furey – laura garvey
our discussion started with defining your ideal client and targeting the perfect wedding couple for your business – here is a link with great insight from jasmine star’s photography blog: a detailed portrait of an ideal client
i suggested that everyone should be on twitter – facebook – and blogging regularly. these three social media sites in particular have completely shaped the way i run my photography business. check out this link from the brand camp blog on why: your brand needs twitter
the value in online photography forums, workshops, and photographer GTG’s was discussed in depth. below are a few links to sites and groups that have extremely helped me grow my photography business when i was first starting out. not to mention the networking and friendships i have made along the way – it’s pretty mind blowing.

zack arias’s photo critiques that are posted on his blog are amazing. together with his wife meghan they have done ten episodes to date and each one is extremely informative and helpful for any photographer in the business today. below is the video clip from their first critique: all the critiques can be found over on zarias.com
get totally rad has also put together some awesome audio interviews with great photographers. this link will take you to blog talk radio where you will be able to listen to all the available episodes they have on file. this is a great resource to see how other successful photographers are running their business.
