the photog shootout group is scheduling a get together in atlantic city on march 15th. so for any local photographers (or aspiring photographers) this will be a great opportunity to meet, learn, and practice your skills with fellow photographers and models. below is a killer video from darrell aubert of aubert films giving you a look at how a recent philly meet up went down. if your interested you should check out the groups facebook page and become a member yourself.

“i wanna go to friendly’s” – that’s what i’ve been hearing from lily for a little over a week now. why does she want to go to friendly’s soo bad?? is it the over cooked macaroni and cheese? how about the greasy fries or apple juice with the super thick straw? nope. it was because the t.v. commercial was advertising a make-your-own snowman for dessert. it’s three scoops of vanilla ice cream, M&M’s for buttons, pretzel sticks for arms, a cherry for a hat, and small gummy bears for the face. it didn’t take lily long to dive into her creation and destroy any hope i had in snagging a full picture of frosty all decked out in his yummy outfit. what is a photographer to do? i decided to get a little creative myself and take some detail shots of the stuff that gathered on our table.

oh frosty, … i don’t think you’ll need this button any more.

and since lauren and i are getting ready to start shooting weddings in 2009 – i thought i would test out a little creative composition for a wedding ring shot. i think it turned out pretty cool, now if only one of our couples reception is held at friendly’s i’ll be good to go.
